U.S., Colombian armies conclude virtual PISAJ14
November 30, 2020 — U.S. Army South concluded the first-ever virtual PISAJ14 (Programa Integral para Suboficiales de Alta Jerarquia), which took place from Nov. 9-20. MORE

PISAJ, an acronym in Spanish for “Programa Integral Para Suboficiales de Alta Jerarquia,” is a U.S. Army South-hosted comprehensive program for senior noncommissioned officers in the U.S. and Colombian armies designed to increase capacity and regional collaboration. This year, PISAJ 14 included senior NCOs from Brazil and Mexico.

15th Annual U.S.-Chilean Army Staff Talks concludes with optimism for 2021 training opportunities
November 19, 2020 — Despite the pandemic that has affected the global environment, U.S. Army South as the Army’s Executive Agent, has maintained its role of conducting bilateral staff talks with partner nations in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility to strengthen the command’s professional relationships and create training opportunities in the Western Hemisphere. Maj. Gen. Daniel R. U.S., Chilean armies open virtual staff talks
November 16, 2020 — U.S. Army South, as the Army’s Executive Agent, opened bilateral staff talks with Chilean Army leaders Nov. 16 to strengthen professional partnerships and increase interaction between the two partners. The three-day event will provide both armies with a forum to discuss bilateral training opportunities over the next two to three years. MORE

The U.S. Army has engaged in annual bilateral staff talks with Chile since 2006, resulting in strengthened professional partnerships and increased interaction between the two armies.

November 6, 2020 — A U.S. Army South Black Hawk medical evacuation helicopter crew assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B) in Honduras rescued victims of Hurricane Eta stranded in floodwaters earlier today following the effects of Hurricane Eta. Planning in Crisis event allows ARSOUTH, multinational planners to prepare for PANAMAX
November 3, 2020 — On the road leading up to PANAMAX, the major capstone training exercise for U.S. Army South, military officers from Brazil, Colombia and Peru arrived to Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston to take part in the Multinational Forces South (MNFS) Planning in Crisis (PIC) event Oct. 26-30.
