U.S., Panamanian forces conduct second iteration of joint humanitarian exercise
January 20, 2021 — U.S. military personnel assigned to Joint Task Force Bravo, Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, will conduct a joint humanitarian exercise with Panamanian Public Security forces in various regions of Panama, Jan. 21 to Feb. 1. JTF-Bravo, a task force under the U.S. Southern Command, will be working alongside the Panamanian National Border Service and the National Aeronaval Service to conduct the second iteration of Humanitarian Exercise Mercury, a bilateral exercise between partner nations that strengthens competencies for a joint disaster response. Army South hosts DoD-wide personnel recovery reintegration working group
December 15, 2020 — U.S. Army South hosted the annual Personnel Recovery Reintegration Working Group at Evans Auditorium Dec. 1-3, part of the command’s role to facilitate the personnel recovery reintegration process. MORE

Personnel from U.S. Army South, Joint Base San Antonio and mission partners conduct debriefing rehearsals at the Army South Debriefing Facility Dec. 2 during the annual Personnel Recovery Reintegration Working Group. U.S. Army South hosted the annual Personnel Recovery Reintegration Working Group Dec. 1-3 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, as part of the command’s role to facilitate the personnel recovery reintegration process. Army South is U.S. Southern Command’s designated command to conduct phase one and phase two reintegration for all Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and DoD civilians and contractors in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. Additionally, Army South conducts Army service-level phase three reintegration for all Soldiers and DA civilians and contractors worldwide. Army South also has a memorandum of understanding with the other services to support service phase three reintegration at JBSA.

Army South Soldiers return from humanitarian assistance deployment in Central America due to Hurricanes Eta and Iota
December 4, 2020 — With two major hurricanes hitting the Central and South American region less than two weeks apart from each other, the nation found itself dealing with the devastation of a humanitarian crisis. U.S. Southern Command immediately coordinated disaster relief efforts, pushing elements from U.S. Army South to support Joint Task Force-Bravo in responding to the emergency in the aftermath of Hurricanes Eta and Iota.
