ARSOUTH leads CENTAM Working Group in Honduras
September 12, 2022 — Tegucigalpa, HONDURAS- Representatives from U.S. Army South traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to lead a Central American Working Group (CENTAM WG) meeting during a three-day event held from September 7-9, 2022. The CENTAM WG includes armies from three Latin American nations: El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The event marked the third time all participating nations gathered to continue coordinating efforts for 2023 and proposing future events for 2024 through 2027. MORE

PANAMAX provides opportunity to build coalition force efficiency
August 12, 2022 — JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Nations spanning across Latin America and the Caribbean sent members of their security forces to Fort Sam Houston, to build and strengthen partnerships during a week-long training exercise in August. MORE

August 11, 2022 — Several members of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce received a firsthand look at the inner workings of a U.S. Army South-hosted multinational command post exercise here Aug. 10. "It’s one thing to see it on TV but seeing firsthand how seamless a joint effort would be if we ever needed it provided me greater level of comfort today," said Richard Delgado, Jr., a Boeing Global Community Investor.
