San Antonio

San Antonio, also known as “Military City USA,” has one of the nation's largest active and retired military populations. It is the seventh-most populous city in the United States, and the second-most populous city in both Texas and the Southern United States, with 1,547,253 residents as of 2019. San Antonio serves as the seat of Bexar County and is the center of the San Antonio–New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area. Commonly called Greater San Antonio, the metro area has a population of 2,550,960 based on the 2019 U.S. census estimate, making it the 24th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and third-largest in Texas.

San Antonio offers thousands of activities for Soldiers, civilians and families, from theme parks, gourmet dining, rich heritage sights, museums, shopping, to outdoor activities including hiking, biking, recreation, and lakes and camping.
